The summer months can be difficult for families trying to keep up with grocery costs while kids are home from school, but the Knox County YMCA is stepping in to help.

The YMCA announced it will once again take part in the Summer Food Service Program, also known as SUN Meals, providing free lunches to children and teens throughout the summer.

Free Lunches Available All Summer Long

The program begins June 1 and runs through Aug. 10. Any child or teenager 18 and younger can receive a free lunch during that time.

Meals will be served daily from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at several locations across Galesburg.
