There's a 64-year-old pastor in North Carolina named Billy Houze who had gall bladder surgery a while back. Then he started having kidney issues, and his doctors said he only had about five years to live unless he got a transplant.

That was about three years ago. And all of his closest blood relatives got tested. But none of them were a match.

But then last month, he got a phone call from his adopted daughter after she found out SHE'S a match.

Her name is DeLauren McKnight. Billy and his wife adopted her as a baby 27 years ago. And no one ever thought she'd be a match, including her.

As soon as she found out, she called him on the phone and said, "Daddy, I'm a MATCH." But he thought she said she was "MAD." So she had to tell him a second time. Then he went silent and just started crying.

They'll go in for the surgery sometime in the next few weeks. DeLauren says that without Billy and her mom, she doesn't know where she'd be. And there's, quote, "nothing in this world I wouldn't give him."
