They say "Living well is the best revenge," and Jen Atkin is possibly living that line more literally than anyone.

In 2015, Jen was happily engaged to the love of her life, until he dumped her for being "too fat." That moment set off a chain of events that led to her becoming Miss Great Britain.

An office administrator, Jen admitted she got hooked on spending $26 on takeout meals, which is a problem many of us have. Jen cut the habit, got mobile, and dropped 112 pounds.

Less than 6 weeks until the @missgb_official finals - the 75th Anniversary final 👑 what an incredible honour to be part of such a huge event! What’s my story? Well, after years of being obese, unhealthy and uncomfortable I found motivation and managed to lose 8 stone. It transformed me into an ambitious and hard working person in all areas of my life; achieving something so incredible changed my mindset and made me realise if I worked hard enough for something, I could achieve it. Believe in yourself, put the hard work in, stay positive and make your own dreams a reality ✨ #motivation #weightloss #transformation #missgbfinalist #begreat #hardwork #misslincolnshire #beautyqueen #misconception #happiness #health #healthybodyhealthymind

It was her third and final attempt at the crown, after making it to the semi-finals in 2017, and then finals in 2018. When Jen met her ex in 2011, she weighed 2011 lbs. After the two got engaged, she hit her highest at 238 lbs in 2015, which is when the guy decided to end things. Her diet was her downfall, she explained, "In the week, I would eat huge portions of pasta or pizza, then a family-size chocolate bar. At weekends, we’d turn into virtual recluses sitting on the sofa in our pajamas eating takeaways — spending $26 each time." She joined the gym and didn't look back, even after she's won the pageant.
