Wedding Crashers Tried To Steal Beer From Wedding, Punched Groom
2A lot of us have considered sneaking into a wedding to get some free food or free drinks. Logistically, it wouldn't be that hard if you dressed the part, and went into a big wedding since everyone would assume the other party knows you. Where you get into dangerous territory is when you decide to steal a case of beer.
One bride and groom have a wedding story they'll be telling until they die. The two tied the knot on June 19th, and held their reception at the Richland County Fairgrounds in Ohio.
Guests all arrived for the reception, but at some point the party picked up two extra guests - who weren't invited.
The two men, 22-year-old William Beeson, and 29-year-old Justin Crowl, tried to steal an entire case of beer.
According to witnesses, the groom confronted the men, at which time Beeson punched him.
Deputies said that's when some of the guests got pissed and handled business themselves.
When it was all said and done, Crowl was cut on broken beer bottles, and Beeson left with a black eye and some other injuries.
The two told deputies that they were at the fairgrounds for a horse show and were invited by a wedding guest to the reception.
Beeson and Crowl are facing charges of theft, trespassing, and disorderly conduct.
