If you hate having to sit through 4 minutes of ads to watch a 90 second video, Reddit has your back and has figured out how to beat the system.

Redditor unicorn4sale explained that adding an extra period to the web address, makes the server think you're a part of a "white list".

"It's a commonly forgotten edge case, websites forget to normalize the hostname, the content is still served, but there's no hostname match on the browser so no cookies and broken CORS - and lots of bigger sites use a different domain to serve ads/media with a whitelist that doesn't contain the extra dot." Whatever that means.

All I know is how to do it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auNoE0u9mqM has ads, but simply adding a period after ".com" to make it ".com." gets rid of the ads.
