The Recording Industry Association of America released its mid-year report. And people have spent almost as much on records this year as CDs... $224 million in the first half of 2019, compared to $248 million on compact discs.

CD sales were basically stagnant, while vinyl record sales were up 13%. One of the most popular bands to buy on vinyl is... The Beatles. Last year, Americans bought over 300,000 of their records on vinyl.
