Vietnam Vet Paddles Solo Down the Mississippi for a Good Cause
Jim Crigler, a Vietnam veteran Huey pilot, began his mission to paddle solo down the Mississippi River back on April 22nd. Now he's passing by the Quad Cities.
Jim will be speaking at Davenport Memorial Park (1022 E 39th Street) today at 4 PM. You won't want to miss it.
The mission is too honor Gold Star Families and to raise $2.5 million for a charity that honors families and veterans in a unique way. American Huey 369 will use the funds to build the future National American Huey History Museum.
Vietnam veterans call the sound of the Huey blades in the air the "Sound of Hope." American Huey 369 hopes that the museum will bring the same sound to Veterans and their families.
