Video Shows Woman Attempt To Steal Car That Has A Club On Steering Wheel

Sheriff's deputies say a woman attempted to carjack another woman in a grocery store parking lot in Agoura Hills, California, but she ended up ramming several cars.

Cell phone video shared around the internet showed the chaos that unfolded Friday afternoon at the grocery store, and at the start of the video, a woman can be heard screaming for help as her car reverses.

Detectives say a 27-year-old woman tried to steal the victim's purse, and pulled the victim from the car during the robbery.

The robber then jumped into the car and floored it, however, she couldn't turn the vehicle at all because there was a club on the steering wheel.

"It was kind of bouncing like a ping pong ball off the other cars," Joslyn Palmer, who witnessed the event, told NBC Los Angeles. "She tried to bail out of the vehicle. When she did she got out here, slipped."

That's when Palmer and two men in the parking lot jumped on her to keep her from escaping. Two ended up injured, but were treated at the scene.
