The Muscatine Police Department is investigating a vandalism incident that took place at the Greenwood Cemetery. One visitor said, "I don’t understand the thinking behind disturbing someone’s resting place, it’s just very, very, very disrespectful."

Many are left in shock after 20 to 30 gravestones were knocked over in the cemetery. "I was angry at first, then I was sad, then I was sad and angry equally," Susan Connor said. "It’s a very discerning site, the disrespect, you know your heart just goes out to families that have been victimized by this."

Muscatine Parks and Recreation Director, Richard Klimes says that people in the community need to be the eyes and ears of the police department. In these situations it helps to speak up if and when they suspect something isn’t right.
