A UK man was hiding from police in the last place they'd look, or so he thought.

33-year-old Dean Foord was busted by Kent Police in December of 2025, after a report from a woman to officers that Foord had mentally and physically abused her for six months.

The victim said Foord controlled her life, limiting her ability to leave home, and cutting her off from family and friends. She said that Foord also threatened her with weapons.

She also alleged he used her money on drugs, gambling, alcohol and lottery scratch cards.

Investigating officer Police Constable George Fisher described Foord as dangerous, saying, "'Foord is a violent bully who used fear, violence and intimidation to control almost every aspect of the victim's life."

When officers were looking for him, they found him in his hiding spot - the inside of a refrigerator.

During the arrest, Foord was also found to be in possession of cocaine.
