California Man Upsetting Neighbors with The Train Horn He Blasts Daily
The people in a neighborhood in Van Nuys, California are not just upset, they're "beyond frustrated" because of one annoying neighbor who won't stop blasting alarms and train horns from his house every day.
Those living in the 6600 block of Peach Street told the local news that the noise disruption has been going on for months and the guy who is doing it all has no plans to stop.
“He does this periodically several times during the day,” Bob Donovan told KTLA. “It only shuts off when the air runs out because it’s blasted by air. Then he turns it back on. It has a range of 3.5 miles. It’s an actual train horn.”
The homeowner, Gary Boyadzhyan, claims he's been having problems with the police department division over a personal issue and that the loud sirens are his way of getting the police's attention.
“I do sincerely apologize to my neighbors,” Boyadzhyan told KTLA. “I, honestly to God, am so sorry to discomfort you guys in your own homes, but I don’t know what else to do.”
Gary says his ex's father has been harrassing him for years and he hasn't been able to get help from the police. It's gone so far as the guy getting Gary fired from one of his jobs, and that he fears for his life.
He explained the train horns were the only thing he was able to do to protect himself.
“I mean, I hear what he’s saying, he needs help, but what kind of help does he need?” one neighbor wants to know.
Some neighbors finally felt some relief when the police came and picked up Gary and hauled him off.
“They were out here this morning,” another neighbor said. “Three cop cars showed up. They were here for about half an hour, talking to him and then they hopped in their cars and drove away.”
