If you like Piña Coladas...

Today is National Piña Colada Day, so be sure to celebrate in the most obvious way possible, making one and drinking it with an easy recipe!

The drink consists of pineapple, rum, and coconut cream, and was created in Puerto Rico in 1954.

It's a highly debated fact, but rumor has it that Ramón “Monchito” Marrero was the inventor of the drink at the Caribe Hilton’s Beachcomber Bar after being challenged by the hotel to make a signature drink that embodied the flavor of the island. The name translates to "strained pineapple", because of the traditional use of fresh pineapple juice.

So, celebrate with a drink!
