You read that right. A sequel season to the docu-series that swept the nation during lockdown is on the way.

According to Deadline, Netflix announced the sequel within an announcement about other true-crime shows coming to the platform.

The outlet also reported that filmmakers have visited and spoken multiple times with Joe Exotic (also known as Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage né Schreibvogel) himself in prison.

If you don't remember, Joe's serving time in prison for a murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin.

The first season of the show followed Joe Exotic and his band of misfits that ran the G.W. Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma.

Since the first season's release, Carole took possession of the G.W. Exotic Animal Park and closed it down.

Also worth noting is the unexpected and tragic death of a crowd favorite, Erik Cowie.

No release date for the new season has been announced yet, so keep an eye out for announcements.
