The World’s Top Superstitions Revealed For Friday the 13th

With it being Friday the 13th, we figured we'd give you some information on the stuff you're worried about and shouldn't be, or aren't worried about but should be. A study of 2,000 people, commissioned by eToro, found what superstitions they believed, and there's some superstitions revealed that I know of, but I think more that I don't know of.

The research revealed that about 62% of people would never walk under a ladder, and 46% won't open an umbrella indoors. 1 in 5 said they're afraid to walk over 3 drain covers in a row, which I have never heard of.

Top 10 Things People Do Superstitiously:

1. Avoided walking under a ladder
2. Touched or knocked on wood to ward off something bad
3. Crossed their fingers
4. Blessed someone when they've sneezed
5. Not opened an umbrella inside
6. Picked up a penny
7. Avoided putting new shoes on a table
8. Broken the wishbone and made a wish
9. Thrown salt over their shoulder after spilling some
10. Not told a soul their birthday wish when blowing out candles
