This Sunday on 97X we've got an amazing line up. Live sets from The Who from 1999, Talking Heads from 1980,  Dire Straits in 1979 and Pat Benatar from 1980.  Of those...who would you like to see the most?  If it was 1970 Who, it'd be a no brainer.  But 1999, I'd say they were a little more calme.  I'm going Talking Heads from 1980.  But really...you don't have to pick.  We give them all!

97X proudly presents "Live In Concert". Tune in every Sunday night for 2 hours of classic concerts from the biggest names in rock It's Live In Concert, Sunday nights at 8pm, on Your Classic Rock Authority, 97X.

Your headliner for Live in Concert on 97X is The Who on the “1991 North American Solo Tour” at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV on October 29, 1999.

MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, NV, October 29, 1999 On the next Live in Concert, we’ll hear an amazing live performance by rock legends, The Who! Back on October 29th, 1999, several A-list bands, including The Who, played a launch party for a startup tech company in Las Vegas. It was called I-BASH ’99. The organizers promised they’d stream the concert to billions of people around the globe. The only problem was that back in 1999, most of the
world was still using dial up modems, and streaming wasn’t possible. Investors were bilked out of millions, bands were duped, but The Who played on! Don’t miss this legendary performance from The Who- they’re headlining the next Live in Concert!

  • Plus don't miss live performances from Talking Heads @ Heatwave Festival, Toronto, ON, Canada, August 23, 1980
  • Also a great set from Dire Straits @ Tower Theatre, Upper Darby, PA, March 6, 1979
  • And don't miss Pat Benatar @ Old Waldorf, San Francisco, CA, August 15, 1980

Live in Concert is on every Sunday at 8 o'clock. The perfect way to wrap up your weekend and prepare for the week ahead. By cracking another couple Sunday beers...which are some of my favorite beers of the weekend. To tune into 97X either on the radio at 96.9 fm or on our mobile app on your phone.
