I went to the dentist today.

It was weird.

Then again...isn't everything weird these days? Beattie Family Dentistry is going the extra mile to make sure everyone feels safe and cared for. Their patients and staff alike.  Because this isn't exactly a trip to the grocery store...this is an oral examination.  You know...where the germs are:

In your gross mouth!

So, I had an appointment set up six months ago (so far back that I actually didn't remember) to check up on my CPAP alternative I got (it's going GREAT btw).  They sent me a reminder, of course, through text and also a survey asking if I've been around anyone who tested positive for COVID 19, if I've had a fever recently, any cough or body ache.  Luckily I was able to answer "No" to the questions and I moved on to the next round.

I pulled into the parking lot and texted them about my arrival as I was instructed to do.  Pretty soon someone wearing a hazmat suit waved me in.  Well, it wasn't exactly a hazmat suit...but I'll bet it's pretty close.

I walk in and everyone is wearing face masks, face shields, gowns, goggles, gloves.  The front desk has new Plexiglas and hand sanitizer and they take your temp and ask you the same questions you filled out on the survey before in case anything changed.

It's a lot.

However, I wouldn't want to be at a dentist office where they didn't take it this serious.  When you're working in the "belly of the beast"...working that intimately with countless patients you need that precaution.

Going to the dentist can be stressing.  Thanks to the excellent staff at Beattie Family Dental for making it as easy as possible.
