Midwestern U.S. is known for it's tailgating of college football, wild and crazy summer parties, and of course its breweries. With great brewery comes great drinking.

24/7 Wall Street reviewed 381 metro cities to decide who is consuming "too much" alcohol, and revealed who they believe to be the twenty drunkest cities in the US. Interestingly enough, most of the cities are Midwestern, and two of twenty are Iowan cities. The study judges by three main categories; Percentage of Adults Drinking to Excess, Percentage of Driving Deaths Involving Alcohol, Estimated Number of Restaurants and Bars:

  4. Madison, Wis.
  5. Fargo, N.D.
  6. La Crosse/Onalaska, Wis.
  7. Fond du Lac, Wis.

  9. Eau Claire, Wis.
  10. Mankato/North Mankato, Minn.
  11. Wausau, Wis.
  12. Sheboygan, Wis.
  13. Missoula, Mont.
  14. Grand Forks, N.D.
  15. Racine, Wis.

  17. Milwaukee/Waukesha/West Allis, Wis.
