2021 has a lot more people out and about, and I have some family visiting me here in the Quad Cities this year, but I have no idea what we should do that's fun. Sure I've heard of some great spots, but I've only been here since late 2019, and COVID stopped me from checking out everything here in the Quad Cities.

I need your help. Where should I take my family for a fun time in the Quad Cities?

There are so many great things in the Quad Cities from historic sights, historic bars, iconic museums, and so much more!

2021 also looks like it is going to be a huge year for road trips. Meaning we may get a few visitors from surrounding areas here in the Quad Cities, and I'd love to tell them some of the best spots here.

That's why I'm asking you what are the best things to do In the Quad Cities?

According to PRNews people are hoping to travel, but it won't be far, and seeing how big the QC is wouldn't be surprised if we all had some family visit us this year. Hopefully we all can find a way to keep the fam entertained this year!

Seventy-six percent of respondents said they plan to travel more than they did in 2020, and nearly 60% plan to travel more than they did in 2019 before the pandemic. However, more than 80% do not plan to travel internationally this year.

As always stay safe and have fun Quad Cities!

Hotel Davenport Demolition

The Hotel Davenport is located at 5202 Brady St. and was reportedly built in the early 1970s. Earlier this year it was decided that this hotel was no longer set to have guests.

According to the Quad Cities times, the Davenport hotel has faced a number of fires, along with safety and health code violations. This has led to the call for its demolition. I've driven past it many times and have seen that the building had clearly began to deteriorate.

It was scheduled for demolition earlier this year, and said demolition began in April. Many involved in this project are excited to see what the future holds for this lot in Davenport.

I drive past this spot every day for work, and over the last month have snagged some pictures of the demolition.
