Teens Stranded On Slingshot Ride After Cable Snaps
Officials in Florida said all of the state's slingshot rides have been closed until they can be inspected after one ride's malfunction left two teens stranded.
Osceola County Fire Rescue say crews were called to the Old Town Slingshot Ride in Kissimmee because a cable had snapped on the ride.
The riders were suspended 30-40ft in the air for almost two hours before being rescued by the department.
After being rescued, the teens declined medical treatment.
The Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services said the four other slingshot rides operating in the state have been closed until a time the manufacturer of the rides can conduct a full investigation.

Once the manufacturer's investigation is complete, state officials will conduct their own investigation.
John Stine, the director of marketing and sales for Old Town Slingshot, says the company does daily inspections of the rides. The state does inspections twice a year.
