The band that first crossed the lines of Hair Metal and Christian Rock is coming to the Quad Cities, and it's one you'll know as soon as you hear it from listener Jason Pettie.

STRYPER is coming to the Quad Cities for a show at the Rust Belt on May 20th.

Formed in 1983 as Roxx Regime, the band soon changed their message to reflect their Christian beliefs. The band found their success with the release To Hell With The Devil, which quickly reached platinum sales status.

The name of Stryper comes from Isaiah 53:5, the King James Version: "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

The band will be rolling through the Rust Belt on May 20th, and tickets are available through the Rust Belt's website.
