Stolen Playground Slide Found in Trailer Park Bedroom
Police in the Burbank area have solved the months-old theft case of a 400-pound playground slide that was stolen from one of their local parks.
In mid-December, kids showed up to play at Tierra Vida Park to find that the giant slide was missing from the playground. Pasco Police investigated, but came up with no leads.
On February 26th, detectives were investigating recent catalytic converter thefts, and located a potential suspect. They retrieved a search warrant and went to the trailer park where the suspect lived.
While searching the home, they found the catalytic converters, but also came face-to-face with the missing 400-pound slide.
It'd been cut, painted, and mounted to the side of the suspect's child's bunk bed.
Pasco Parks and Rec came to the residence to retrieve the slide.
Dustin Allen Bushnell, 30, was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property for the slide, and charges are pending for the catalytic converters.
