Police in New Castle County, Delaware, arrested a 21-year-old man last week after he called the police looking for some help getting his personal items back after it was towed away on Wednesday.

Officers said that around 9:30am the day before, after a Hyundai Sonata was stolen from its parking spot along Fairway Road in Newark.

In the case, the victim told officers they were warming the vehicle up and left it unattended with the keys inside. When they returned to where it was parked, the car was gone - stolen by who police are saying is 21-year-old Kayonne Baxter.

On Wednesday, the car was towed away by a tow company because of where it was parked. That was when police received a call from Kayonne Baxter, asking for some assistance in tracking down personal belongings that he had left in the stolen car.

Police went and met up with him, where they took him into custody without incident. The vehicle was located and recovered at the nearby tow company.

Baxter's personal belongings were still sitting inside the car, and he's been charged with theft of a motor vehicle.
