Honor Military with A Special Football Game and Jersey Auction In Illinois
The Quad City Steamwheelers are set to salute service members during their annual Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, June 28th at the Vibrant Arena at The MARK. The team will face off against the Massachusetts Pirates with kickoff scheduled for 7:05 PM.
The night will feature tributes to those who have served, special activities on the field, and opportunities for the community to show appreciation to military members past and present.
Free Admission for Military Members
To honor those who have served, the Steamwheelers are offering free tickets to active-duty military personnel and veterans. Tickets can be claimed at the arena’s box office on game day by showing a valid military ID. Each eligible person will receive one complimentary ticket.
Players to Wear Military-Themed Jerseys
During the game, the Steamwheelers will sport custom military-themed jerseys. These unique uniforms won’t just be for show—they’ll be auctioned off after the game, with proceeds benefiting military-related charities. It’s a meaningful way for fans to support veterans and active-duty service members through their donations.
Veterans Can Be Part of the Action
Fans are also encouraged to nominate veterans for the chance to participate in the pre-game “Honor Tunnel”. Selected veterans will walk side-by-side with players during team introductions—a powerful and emotional tribute that adds to the game’s patriotic spirit.
Whether you’re a football fan, a veteran, or someone who simply wants to show support for those who serve, Military Night promises to be a memorable evening. Come out and cheer on the Steamwheelers while helping give back to those who protect our freedoms.
