Sgt. Stephen Wheeles with the Indiana State Police reminded everyone about the state's "move over" law by pulling over a driver who was going too slow in the left lane.

The trooper says that the slow-going motorist had about 20 cars lined up behind them in the fast lane. Wheeles gained a lot of support for his decision as people expressed their frustration with slow drivers.

The law was not instated to punish drivers going the speed limit or to encourage speeders. Wheeles explains that slow drivers in the left lane can create an accordion effect that causes jams and accidents behind them.

Ultimately, the roadway is safer because the cars that will be speeding can easily pass slower or limit-obeying drivers.
