Stanley Cup Coming Back to the Quad Cities

The Quad City Storm announced in their season ticket holder newsletter that the Stanley Cup, professional hockey's greatest trophy, will arrive in the Quad Cities in time for the December 20th game at the TaxSlayer Center.

For every kid who has ever watched a grainy TV broadcast of an out-of-town hockey game, or strapped on skates for a go around on a frozen pond, the Stanley Cup is holy ground.  Lord Stanley's Cup will visit the TaxSlayer Center on December 20th For the Quad City Storm Hockey game.The Storm take on The Riverman, and the Stanley Cup will be on display in the concourse during the game.

Gwen Tombergs, president of the Quad City Storm, told me, "The Storm is very excited to get the Stanley Cup in only our second season in existence! We know our fans love hockey and what a tribute to thank them with the highest award in the NHL!"
