Stage’s Solo Guitar Rig Setup
I have played guitar since I was 15 years old. I'm not very good at it...but it's still a LOT of fun for me to get out and play. My band, Folk n' Stages is an acoustic 3 piece that plays from time to time. But that started by playing solo shows wherever anyone would have me. Now, I limit my solo gigs because the group is so fun!
We don't have a gig lined up until after the holidays...so I've book a show at Oscar's Pub in Bettendorf on December 11th. I thought I'd dive into my set up and show you some of the equipment I use.
My guitar is a Takamine GD51CE that I bought at AM Guitar Works in Davenport. I love the feel of this guitar and it solos real nice with the cutaway by the base of the neck.
And the sound comes out of my Alto speakers. I keep one on the floor in front of me and usually one is enough to fill the tiny bar room I'm playing. Although I recently blew the tweeters in it so now I have to borrow Dwyer's PA.
Mark December 11th on your calendars. Oscar's Pub is a super cool bar! I'd love to see you there!
