Speedy Gonzales Arrested After Several Months On The Run

Saturday in Georgia, police pulled over and arrested a wanted fugitive who'd been on the run since January.

35-year-old Speedy Gonzales (yes, that is his legal name) was wanted by the Gwinnett County Police for stealing checks out of a mailbox. The checks were meant to be mailed to different recipients, but Speedy stole them and cashed them for himself.

The next day, Speedy made a purchase of $3,000, shortly before returning the items for cash.

In March, Gwinnett County PD announced they would be pressing multiple charges on him when he was arrested.

Gonzales is facing charges of forgery, identity fraud, and theft by deception.
