SPAM Museum Hosts British Couple’s Wedding

Austin, Minnesota is home of the SPAM Museum, the canned meat, not the emails. And apparently the museum also hosts international weddings.

Mark Benson from Liverpool, England, who's full legal name is Mark I Love Spam Benson, married his girlfriend Anne Mousley this week at the museum. Guests were treated to appetizers created from SPAM recipes, like SPAM sushi and SPAM doughnuts.

“My granddad fought in World War II and he used to swap rations with the Americans,” Mark said. “The Americans would give him Spam. Since then, it has always been in the household. My granddad went to work where they made Spam, and that building is now the supermarket where I buy my Spam today.”
