Sick of “Normal” Christmas Music?

I love Christmas!  I'll admit it.  I play Christmas tunes through out the house this time of year. All the time. The lights are on as soon as I'm out of my basement to enjoy them.  I love the feeling of Christmas, the sights & sounds of Christmas.  I love the food, the drinks, the presents, the movies...did I mention the music?

I love Christmas music.  The traditional Bing Crosby brings me to a simpler time.  Throwing on a record on the ole record player.  And remember those books that came along with the 45's?  I had Frosty & Rudolph.  It's a hoot.

Well as much as I love Christmas, admittedly, I can get bored of the same old same old.  So I have put together a playlist that features some fun (if not slightly messed up) versions of my favorite Christmas songs.

Sure, this playlist features Tom Petty's "It's Christmas All Over Again"...but it also features The Ramones "I dont' Wanna Fight Tonight".

It features "White Christmas" but it's done by Iggy Pop.  "You're a mean one Mr. Grinch" done by the Misfits!

Then I got a little crazy and added Sonic Youth "Santa Doesn't Cop Out on Dope" and Fear's "F*ck Christmas". King Diamond's "No Presents for Christmas".

It's not your average holiday playlist.

Even though I did throw in Willie Nelson's "Pretty Paper" and Bing Crosby's "I'll Be Home For Christmas" I made sure to round it off with some Rob Halford doing "Oh Holy Night" and Weird Al Yankovic's "Christmas at Ground Zero".

Anyway...I hope you enjoy.  Maybe be close to the skip button because this aint' for everyone (kids included)
