Downing Family Fundraiser
Brooks, the 2-year-old son of a Davenport Fire Fighter, was first diagnosed with cancer this past spring. Despite surgery and treatment, the cancer has since spread throughout his brain and spine.
Sadly, there is no cure. As his parents prepare for the unthinkable, they are also burdened with mounting medical
expenses.
There's a special event to raise funding to cover all the medical bills so they can focus on what really matters at this time.
It's a special golf outing at Iron Tee on October 25th from 11am to 3pm. 25% of proceeds from the event go to the Downings.
There's a longest drive contest, silent auctions, raffles, and closest to the pin competition. If you can't make the 25th, they're continuing the 25% deal from October 26th-November 9th, if you mention Downing Fundraiser.
There's also a GoFundMe.
RIP Ace Frehley
Ace Frehley passed away yesterday - a couple weeks after the news came out he was cancelling his 2025 dates on doctor's orders. Yesterday afternoon it was revealed that he was on life support, due to a fall in his studio that resulted in a brain bleed.
One of the most fun clips of Ace comes within an interview with Tom Snyder, where he's laughing and sarcastic throughout the interview - and it really peeves Gene Simmons.
John Morrow
Legendary martial artist John Morrow passed away Wednesday, according to his obituary that was posted yesterday.
The Quad Cities remembers him for many of his talents - and we remember him for his Guinness World Records and bed of nails tricks.
Bear Mats
A gym in Colorado thought they had someone come in and spill protein shakes all over the floor - until they reviewed footage and saw they had two black bears come in and trash the place.
The gym has added some new bear mats that will shock the bears feet.
That just leaves one question for the bears.... ARE YOU READY TO GET SHOCKED?!!?
Mistletoe Murders
There's a new series for Hallmark Christmas season. It's MISTLETOE MURDERS.
Monster Mash
Is the Monster Mash about an orgy? Just listen to the lyrics.
It's actually a song - about a dance - inspired by a song we've never heard.
