Speed Cameras

The photo speed enforcement van is back out on the roads in Davenport. Luckily enough, we know where they'll be this week:

• Monday: 6700 Division St – 2600 E River Drive – 3100 Harrison St.
• Tuesday: 2800 Jersey Ridge Rd – 3300 W Locust St – 5700 Northwest Blvd.
• Wednesday: 5500 Pine St – 3100 Harrison St. – 1500 E Locust St

Downing Family Fundraiser

Brooks, the 2-year-old son of a Davenport Fire Fighter, was first diagnosed with cancer this past spring. Despite surgery and treatment, the cancer has since spread throughout his brain and spine.

Sadly, there is no cure. As his parents prepare for the unthinkable, they are also burdened with mounting medical
expenses.

There's a special event to raise funding to cover all the medical bills so they can focus on what really matters at this time.

It's a special golf outing at Iron Tee on October 25th from 11am to 3pm. 25% of proceeds from the event go to the Downings.

There's a longest drive contest, silent auctions, raffles, and closest to the pin competition. If you can't make the 25th, they're continuing the 25% deal from October 26th-November 9th, if you mention Downing Fundraiser.

Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin (and his brother Stephen) were travelling to a film festival in the Hamptons, and somehow along the way, put Hilaria's Range Rover into a tree. They're fine.

DOINK

Commanders kicker Matt Gay hit the upright on a field goal attempt, but it wasn't just the missed field goal - he doinked it while the mic on the post was hot, which scared the crap out of anyone who had their volume up high on their TV.

Theater Bombing

Michaels told us about the theater in his hometown that lasted a bit before it didn't.

There was a movie theatre that was struggling because the projectionists union had the pay minimum too high. So, the owner dropped all the union guys, hired some non union people and turned it into an adult movie theatre.

It was a huge hit with people coming from all over the place because it was the closest adult theater... then one night, it blew up.

They thought it might've been a gas leak - but then the police issued a $25,000 reward for anyone who had information that led to the arrest of whoever was responsible for the bombing.

Dwyer & Michaels Funeral Home

We've long laughed that there's a Dwyer & Michaels Funeral Home in NY, but now they've gone viral for their Halloween decorations... at a funeral home.

Gorilla Damages Glass At San Diego Zoo

A gorilla, named Denny, smashed the glass at the San Diego Zoo, scaring spectators (and surely zookeepers as well).

Alec Baldwin and his brother Stephen crashed into a tree yesterday in Alec's wife's Range Rover.
