City Council Meeting

A guy at a city council meeting hearing regarding the shutdown of the motorcross park was trying to say his piece: "You either hear them where they belong or where they don't belong." and the city council members kept interrupting him to have him state his name and address.

I'd say he got his point across:

The Mayor Of Gaines Street

If you've driven up the Gaines Street hill, you've seen Vern Carpenter, better known as "The Mayor Of Gaines Street," sitting on his porch waving and cheering to all the traffic that goes by.

We heard the news that Vern has had a stroke and is recovering in a rehab facility. We'd love to flood him with get-well cards. Can you help us out?
