Ozzy

The news circulated quickly yesterday after it was released that Ozzy Osbourne had passed away, seemingly completely taking over and halting the internet.

We'll be spending the morning remembering his storied career, his influence, and the crazy memories he was known for.

Here's every clip we played on the show today.

Alice Cooper shared video of his dedication of his show the night before.

For his final show just 17 days before his death, he was strapped into a special chair for his Back To The Beginning show, which brought dozens of the biggest names in rock together to celebrate Ozzy's life and career.

Here's Ozzy telling the story of hearing his own music on the radio for the first time.

Ozzy was on Letterman years ago, and the conversation went to navigating and using apps, which Ozzy said he can't do.

His son then explains he once texted Robert Plant by accident telling him he couldn't find his cat.

One of the internet's favorite clips came from his reality show, The Osbournes, was Ozzy asking who stole th beers out of his fridge.

Ozzy once went head to head on Jimmy Kimmel with a guy who won a contest as the 'Biggest Ozzy Fan' in Ozzy Trivia.

Megan's first intro to Ozzy Osbourne was as a kid watching Hannah Montana, where one of the characters pretended to be him to trick and distract Gilbert Gottfried.

Here's a super cool clip of Ozzy hearing the isolated tracks of Randy Rhoades playing Crazy Train for the first time in 36 years. You can tell how much Randy's insane skill and musicality affected him because he shot out of the chair during the isolation of the guitar solo.

Ozzy was invited to the White House correspondents dinner back in 2002, and Bush had all sorts of great jokes.

97X Listeners Remember Ozzy

Yesterday, our inboxes were flooded with memories of listeners who won tickets to Ozzy shows through 97X.

Like Big Jer, who was at the show at the I-Wireless Center in 2011 and even got a signed Meet & Greet badge.

Bill Stage shared his story of seeing Ozzy at The Mark, in 1996. It was before Stage worked on 97X.

1st saw Ozzy Osbourne live in 1996 on the Retirement Sucks Tour. I remember Z-Man, the night jock on 97X was interviewing him on the phone (before I started working there). I couldn’t understand a damn thing he was saying, but I remember Z-Man was calm, cool and collected. Not sure how he did it, with such a legend on the line.

Listener Jason shared the story with us, when he was 6 years old seeing Ozzfest at Alpine Valley, and Zakk Wylde saw him and pulled him onto the stage, and Ozzy finished singing Suicide Solution with him on his shoulders. You can see video below:
