Alan Niven - Guns N Roses
Alan Niven, the longtime manager of Guns N' Roses, Great White, and a handful of other bands, is facing some lawsuits from the bands because his memoir has some highly detailed stories of the bands' debauchery.
One of the stories is that Axl Rose was drinking so badly, he wasn't reliably showing up to shows. So, Niven and the band took to having him arrested in the morning and then posting his bail - so they'd know where he was all day.
Our friend (and boss) Chuck Amstrong talked with Niven on his show, Loudwire Nights. You can see the recap of his interview below.
Whoops
Did you see the video yet of the affair that got busted during the Coldplay concert?
During a kiss cam that was going around the concert, a couple popped up on the big screen and they acted weird.
“Oh, what?” Coldplay's Chris Martin can be heard saying on stage. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
That is Andy Byron (CEO of Astronomer) and the woman is his CPO Kristin Cabot. Andy is married with two kids.
Sports Memorabilia Scam
A guy who got busted did a tell-all exposure post on the ongoing fraud in the sports memorabilia world - $350M in fraudulent items, and the guy even admitted to $2M in his own fraudulent sales.
Felix Baumgartner
Felix Baumgartner passed away yesterday after a weird paragliding accident.
He's most known for being the one who skydived from space.
Emergency Landing To Cedar Rapids
There was an emergency landing at the airport in Cedar Rapids last night after a guy on a flight from Omaha to Detroit tried to open an emergency door.
This isn't the guy's first run-in with the law. A few years ago, while shirtless, he stole a snowplow.
'Cause There's Drugs In There
There's a dude who hasn't been identified yet, but we'll call him... Dwyer..
Dude refused to come down from a roof because he said there were drugs hidden in the chimney. There weren't.
