Russia's Android Technics has been developing a humanoid robot to send into space, it can use keys and tools, screw in light bulbs, drive a car, and shoot guns from both hands.

The process is to help improve the bot's motor skills and decision making. It was originally created for rescue work but military use has been suggested.

“We are not creating a Terminator," said deputy Prime Minster Dmitry Rogozin. "But artificial intelligence that will be of great practical significance in various fields.”

Final Experimental Demonstration Object Research or FEDOR is expected to be the only passenger on board Russia's Federation spacecraft in 2021.
