
Ricky Warwick Playing Rascal’s Irish Roots: Belfast Grit St. Patrick’s Day Bash
Ricky Warwick, former lead vocalist of Black Star Riders and Thin Lizzy, and current lead vocalist of The Almighty, will be in town March 14th for a show to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
Warwick, born in Newtownards, Northern Ireland, Warwick got his first guitar at 14 years old. His first break came in the late 1980s with New Model Army. Then, when he formed The Almighty in 1988, the band found success - opening for acts like Motörhead, Megadeth, Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden, and Metallica.
Warwick joined Thin Lizzy in 2009 as their lead vocalist and guitarist and continued to perform with them in 2011 for the European tour commemorating the 25th anniversary of Phil Lynott's death. December of 2012 saw his co-creation of Black Star Riders with Damon Johnson.
Warwick will be headlining the Irish Roots: Belfast Grit St. Patrick's Day Bash on Saturday, March 14th at Rascal's Live in Moline.
