Ricky Warwick, former lead vocalist of Black Star Riders and Thin Lizzy, will be in town this weekend, playing at Rascals Live this Saturday night!

He stopped by the studio this morning to talk about his new song with Lita Ford and just catch up with us on some of the new stuff since the last time he stopped by a couple of years ago.

Warwick, born in Newtonards, Northern Ireland, Warwick got his first guitar at 14 years old. His first break came in the late 1980s with New Model Army. Then, when he formed The Almighty in 1988, the band found success - opening for acts like Motörhead, Megadeth, Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden, and Metallica.

Warwick joined Thin Lizzy in 2009 as their lead vocalist and guitarist and continued to perform with them in 2011 for the European tour commemorating the 25th anniversary of Phil Lynott's death. December of 2012 saw his co-creation of Black Star Riders with Damon Johnson.

You can see Ricky Warwick LIVE this Saturday at Rascals Live in Moline. Doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 8pm. Tickets start at $15 for advanced tickets, or $20 at the door.

Quad Cities Live Music Venues That Aren't Live Music Venues Anymore

Nostalgia Alert!.

We've compiled a quick list (by no means comprehensive) of venues in the Quad Cities that are no longer music venues but to us will ALWAYS hold a special place were we saw some great shows and made some incredible memories.

To many of us the live music scene wasn't just a concert here & there. It was an every weekend affair. And it didn't matter if it was a touring band or your buddy's band. We were going to be there with a beer in hand and scream along with guitars that were way too loud in a room that was improperly treated acoustically and make some bad decisions.
