Ray Liotta Dead at 67
Another Goodfella gone.
Ray Liotta has passed away at the young age of 67, TMZ reports. The actor died in his sleep in the Dominican Republic.
According to the outlet, Ray was shooting a film called Dangerous Waters while on the island, and a source says passed away in his sleep. No foul play is suspected.
He was perhaps best known as his role of Henry Hill in the mafia masterpiece Goodfellas, starring aside greats like Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci.
Liotta also recently starred as twins Dick and Sally Moltisanti in the Sopranos prequel movie, The Many Saints of Newark.
While he was often known for his acting ability in more serious, mafia based roles, Liotta wouldn't turn down a goofier role, such as a cameo in Seinfeld's Bee Movie, where he played himself - the owner of a honey empire.
Another highlight featured Liotta as the leader of the Del Fuego MC and main antagonist in the suburban middle-age comedy Wild Hogs, where he starred along the likes of Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawerence, William H. Macy, and Marisa Tomei.
He will surely be missed in Hollywood, but his legacy will live forever.
Rest in peace, Ray.
