Quad Cities Expecting to See Season’s First Snow Flakes Friday
With conditions lowering temperature, and the cold wind we had blowing through the area, the Quad Cities will be seeing the first snowflakes of the season today, possibly even this morning.
According to KWQC's Kevin Phelps, the roads will be fine, but grassy areas of town will see up to a half an inch of snow.
Last year, we had our first snowfall on October 18th. While the Quad Cities only had a dusting, Cedar Rapids had as much of 5 inches.
Today's High is 38, with a low of 32. We'll be seeing some flurries off and on all day.
It's probably a good day to stay off of Facebook, since today will be the day of blurry photos with the caption "What's this white stuff?" and "I miss summer" and all that other crap.
