Honor Military Service Members At Hockey Ice-Painting Event In Moline
Today, the Quad City Storm Hockey team invites the community to take part in a special tribute to the armed forces at Vibrant Arena.
Community Event Honors Military Service Members at Vibrant Arena
From 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, participants are encouraged to visit the arena to paint the name of a friend or loved one who is currently serving or has served in the military.
The painted names will remain on the ice as a powerful visual for the team’s upcoming Salute to Military Night on November 8, where the Storm will honor military personnel during their game.
This event is free and open to the public, offering a hands-on opportunity to pay tribute to those who have served our country. Whether you're honoring a family member, friend, or a fellow service member, the team encourages everyone to take part in this meaningful display of gratitude.
Do I Need To Bring My Own Paint?
Vibrant Arena will provide all painting supplies, and attendees are welcome to come and participate at any time during the event hours.
A Long Lasting Tradition
Salute to Military Night has been a highly anticipated annual tradition for the Storm, with proceeds from special ticket sales and auction items often supporting local veterans’ organizations. The inclusion of painted names on the ice is a powerful way to ensure that those who have defended our freedom are front and center during the evening’s celebration.
