My biggest complaint about the Quad Cities since moving here in January is the sheer amount of road construction. There are a few more projects coming up too.

Here are a few new spots we'll have to detour:

Division St. in Davenport

Specifically, between West 12th & Locust Streets. It closes Division St. at 15th St. for a month. At this point, I think I've Google-mapped enough detours for half of Division. Only one lane of northbound travel will be open between West 12th & Locust.

River Drive in Moline

Starting on June 6, crews are closing off River Drive between 19th Street and the I-74 onramp in Moline. It will be closed for a week. Contractors are removing the remaining section of the old I-74 from over River Drive, according to a Facebook post by the I-74 River Bridge.

To get on the Iowa-bound onramp: the closure will affect you if you're headed eastbound on River Drive. You'll need to turn right on 19th Street, left on 6th, and then left onto the onramp.

If you're headed into Illinois on I-74, you have to turn left onto River Drive. If you want to go the other way, then turn right onto 23rd Street, right onto 4th, then right onto 19th to land you at River Drive.

Downtown traffic can use 4th Avenue, 6th Avenue, or 7th Avenue to get around the River Drive closure, according to the I-74 River Bridge.
