Police Officer Saves Man From Oncoming Train
Yesterday around 8:44am, Officer Erika Urrea from the Lodi Police Department in California, spotted a man in an electric wheelchair trapped on the tracks as a train sped toward him.
She jumped out of her squad car, and sprinted towards him. Officer Urrea grabbed the 66-year-old man, and pulled him from the chair just as the train came by.
As they fell away, the train clipped the man's leg slightly, but it was a small price to pay compared to taking a head-on collision with a speeding train, the fate which his wheelchair experienced.
