On Monday, August 10, a line of severe weather raced across Iowa and Illinois leaving a path of damage from Des Moines to Chicago.  Hundreds of thousands of people were left without power.  In Iowa alone (as of 3:00 pm on Monday) 450,000 were without power.

In the Quad Cities, residents drove back to their homes to find down trees, torn up sheds, debris scattered across the city and the St. Ambrose Dome blown over.
