Penguins Explore Entire Shedd Aquarium Amidst COVID-19 Closing
With Illinois cracking down on businesses being open during the public health crisis, Shedd Aquarium in Chicago is unable to open its doors.
With much of the animals' mental stimulation coming from visitors, the caretakers had to get creative to keep the penguins from getting stir-crazy.
A group of Rockhopper Penguins were allowed to leave their habitat to go for a walk and explore the aquarium.
One of the penguins, named Wellington, was most interested in the fish in the Amazon Rising exhibit, which was captured in a Twitter video posted by the aquarium.
The video went viral, with many thankful responses.
