Pedestrian Killed in Accident Outside TaxSlayer Center

UPDATE: We have changed information in this article to correct our original understanding of this incident being a hit and run.  

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car outside the TaxSlayer Center this morning as an ice sheet covered the entire QCA, causing multiple pileups, and cars in ditches.

Moline Police posted on their Facebook that there was a traffic accident at the area of 12th Street and River Drive.

After multiple people reporting a police presence of 15+ police cars as well as Moline Fire Dept. and EMS, the suspicion grew that something more than a fender bender occurred.

We're waiting to hear back from Moline PD about the situation.
