Opening Day For Quad Cities River Bandits Baseball Is Here

The day is finally upon us! Baseball lovers and Quad Cities River Bandits fans can celebrate loud and proud because today, April 12th, is opening day!

The fun begins with the home opener against the Cedar Rapids Kernels. The game starts at 6:30 with the main gates opening 45 minutes before start time. Here is a look at what fun promotions we can expect this week:

Tuesday, April 12th: The first t-shirt giveaway of the season. $2 Tuesday, featuring $2 general admission tickets, sodas, and hot dogs.

Wednesday, April 13th: The Bandits are unveiling their specialty Copa de la Diversión jerseys and giving away a 2022 magnet schedule.

Thursday, April 14th: Thirstday Thursday returns - with the first of 11 collectible pint glass giveaways, plus $3 Green Tree and $2 domestic drafts.

Friday, April 15th: The first fireworks show of the season!

Saturday, April 16th: The first pennant giveaway!

Sunday, April 17th: Free general admission tickets for healthcare workers, $2 bleacher tickets for military, a freezer giveaway, bark in the park, and the return of kids run the bases.

If you haven't heard already, The Quad Cities River Bandits announced their “Bandidos del Río de las Ciudades Cuádruples” identity as part of Minor League Baseball’s “Copa de la Diversión” or “Fun Cup” campaign and event series.

Every Wednesday the team will rock new jerseys to celebrate the Quad Cities’ Hispanic/Latino communities throughout the season. There will even be a second mascot "Pícaro" (Spanish for rascal) wandering around, so make sure you get a picture with him!
