Online Prostitution Leads To Des Moines Robbery

A pair of criminals in Des Moines are behind bars after they lured a man using a post on a prostitution website and robbed him.

The victim met with 20-year-old Alanna Teachout at a home last week after responding to an online sex ad. As per their agreement, the man brought cash with him to the meeting.

Three other males were in the home at the time when Teachout and the victim went to an upstairs bedroom. Teachout left the room and another man entered with a handgun. He took the victim's money and told him to leave, threatening to shoot him if he called the cops.

The victim did call the cops. Police arrived to the house and found the man who robbed the victim trying to escape from a window. They arrested Teachout on first degree robbery and possession of marijuana charges and Darnell Knox on a probation violation.
