Just before 1am on Friday, March 3rd, officers responded to the area of Third Street and Ripley Street to a call of shots fired, according to the Davenport Police Department.

On Friday, March 3, 2023, at approximately 12:45am Davenport Police responded to the area of Third and Ripley Streets in reference to a call of shots fired. One subject was transported by Medic EMS to a local hospital.

Officers ask that the community avoid the area until further notice. As of 8:45am, the area was still blocked off, and multiple emergency vehicles were still present, along with the Crime Scene Unit for Davenport Police.

To aid with blocking the road, a large RV-sized Davenport Police vehicle was seen blocking the intersection at Third Street and Ripley.

The area closed off is just west of the Capitol Theater and Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce buildings.
