Prost!

Bust out the Bundhosen this weekend because Davenport is marking the start of the 2025 Oktoberfest season, right in the heart of Downtown.

In Kaiserslautern Square - Davenport's toast to it's sister city in Germany - on Saturday, September 20th, you can toast your German heritage with locally brewed Oktoberfest beers, German food, and dance your Haferlschuh's off with some authentic German music.

It all kicks off at 12pm with The Textures - the QC's favorite funk-jam-soul rock 'n roll band. Then, at 3pm Die Musikmeisters Band kicks off with the biggest German Polka hits.

Throughout the day there's plenty of ways to have fun - German style.

Hammerschlagen - A widely loved German drinking game where you compete with your friends to drive a nail into a log one tap at a time.

And perhaps most important of them all - the Stein holding contest.

Competitors hold a heavy glass of beer, and the last to fall wins a prize. The thing though, is when you lose, you get to drink the giant glass of beer, so really, everybody wins.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
