We've all heard of beer googles. You may have even blamed some... um...controversial personal decisions on them. And a new study found that beer goggles really DO exist, but maybe not how you think.

Drinking doesn't make you lower your standards it just keeps you from being as judgmental as you are when you're sober.

Researchers at Edge Hill University in England monitored people at a bar and found that sober people get distracted by attractive faces, but drunk people get distracted by ALL faces.

So it's possible that when you're drunk, you'll give attention to someone you might not give attention to when you're sober because you're not even processing whether they look good to you or not.
